Women's Networking Breakfast, Wednesday 19th May

This was a unique opportunity to network with other senior women, at an exclusive breakfast hosted by the Lady Mayoress and in the presence of the Lord Mayor.

 

The Breakfast included a panel discussion on a range of topical issues, featuring guest speakers Kate Adie, Dame Clara Furse, Angela Knight and Alderman Fiona Woolf.

Panellists

 

India Gary-Martin, Panel Chair

India's career in the Financial Services spans nearly twenty years and three continents; North America, Europe and Asia. After starting out at Morgan Stanley in its groundbreaking technology training program, India grew her career through various development and change functions at Morgan Stanley and latterly Deutsche Bank. India has since worked at Lehmen Brothers as the European Chief Information Officer for the Mortgage Capital Division, and is currently at The Royal Bank of Scotland. She will be joining JP Morgan in June.

Kate Adie, OBE

Kate is a British journalist reputed for reporting in conflict zones around the world. Her many notable achievements include coverage of the Iranian embassy seige in 1980, the Rwandan Genocide in 1994 and the war in Sierra Leone in 2000

Dame Clara Furse DBE

Dame Clara is currently a non-executive Director of the Legal and General Group, Nomura International and Nomura Europe Holdings. She was Chief Executive of the London Stock Exchange Group from January 2001 to May 2009

Angela Knight CBE

Angela is currently the Chief Executive of the British Bankers Association, as well as a non-executive director on the boards of IFSL, Brewin Dolphin plc and the Financial Services Skills Council.

Alderman Fiona Woolf CBE

Fiona is an Alderman in the City of London and past President of the Law Society of England and Wales. She is a consultant at CMS Cameron McKenna, having built a global energy and infrastructure practive.
