The Lord Mayor’s Appeal Golf Day took place on Monday 2nd July at the prestigious Royal St George’s Golf Club in Sandwich, Kent, led by the Lord Mayor Alderman Charles Bowman himself.

With clear blue skies and heatwave cooled down by a refreshing sea breeze the 20 teams taking part couldn’t have asked for a better day for golf. After a great round out on the 18-hole course, a sumptuous 3-course lunch was served in the Clubhouse followed by speeches from The Captain Mark Batten and The Lord Mayor, an auction conducted by The Secretary Tim Checketts and prize giving ceremony with The Lord Mayor. The winning team was Sandigolf and the runners up were Russell’s Renegades 3.

The event was held to raise funds primarily for The Lord Mayor’s Appeal. 10% of the net proceeds will also be donated to The Royal St George’s Community Fund.

The Lord Mayor’s Appeal would like to express sincere thank yous to Philip Woodhouse, Mark Batten, the Organising Committee and Royal St George’s Golf Club for all their support. Thank you also to everyone who attended, donated auction prizes or supported the event in another way.
