This year The Lord Mayor’s Appeal are taking part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge! For seven days, it offers supporters of participating charities the opportunity to have their donation doubled.

This means that there is no better time to donate than during the Christmas Challenge, when your donation has twice the impact.

For this year's Big Give 2019 Challenge, starting at 12pm on 3 December until 12pm, 10 December 2019, The Lord Mayor’s Appeal is calling on your amazing support to raise £30,000 – which will then be matched to raise an incredible £60,000, thanks to generous pledges from by Lord Mayor William Russell, and former Lord Mayors Peter Estlin and Charles Bowman, and the Reed Foundation.

The money raised during The Big Give will go towards our partnerships with charities Place2Be, OnSide Youth Zones, and Samaritans. It will help us to build A Better City For All, helping 1 million people thrive in an inclusive, skilled, diverse and fair City.

To double your donations to The Lord Mayor’s Appeal, please visit our Big Give Christmas Challenge donation page from noon on Tuesday 3 December until noon Tuesday 10 December 2019.

We will not be allowed to help you process your donations to our Big Give challenge over the telephone. Your donations will only be eligible for match giving if you donate via our online Big Give donation page.

If you are a UK tax-payer, please don't forget to tick the Gift Aid box when you donate online, as your gift will be worth even more at no extra cost to you.

For example, a donation of £10 during the Big Give Challenge week will be worth £25 towards achieving our target. A £100 donation would raise an incredible £225.

This is a great opportunity to support our work and enable us to impact lives across the City and beyond.
