The Lady Mayoress' Sleep Out

Ditch your comfy, warm bed for a night and join the Lady Mayoress and Lord Mayor at our first ever Sleep Out at Guildhall Yard on Wednesday 30 March 2022. With the aim to highlight the high number of homeless people in the City and to raise money for charity, this event will give you a taste of what it could be like to sleep rough. The Lady Mayoress Amanda Keaveny is an active supporter and volunteer at a number of London-based homeless charities and is keen to raise awareness of the issue more widely in the City.

10% of the net proceeds of the event will be donated to Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) which is an East London charity helping the local community to recover from homelessness, addictions, and other complex needs. The remainder of the net proceeds will go to The Lord Mayor's Appeal and its beneficiary charities, some of which focus on mental health issues which are often one of the main causes of homelessness.

The registration fee is £25 and minimum sponsorship target is £500 excluding GiftAid. Hot drinks and bacon butties will be kindly provided by The Cook & The Butler for all sleepers. Participants will need to bring their own sleeping bags, cardboard, waterproofs, water bottles etc.

Registration for the Sleep Out is now closed. For any questions about the event please email events@thelordmayorsappeal.org. Our booking terms and conditions can be found here

If you are unable to take part in the Sleep Out yourself, you can sponsor the Lady Mayoress via her JustGiving page at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/amanda-keaveny. All donations, however small, will be gratefully received.
