Power of Inclusion Workshop: Unlocking Potential through Early Careers Programmes

The City of London offers rich opportunities for those just starting their careers. Yet for the nearly one million young people currently not in education, employment or training, accessing these pathways can feel out of reach. Early careers programmes play a critical role in removing these barriers and opening doors to the City.

This workshop will explore how employers can design and deliver early careers programmes that build inclusive pathways into work. By highlighting effective practice, we’ll address how employers are broadening access and supporting young people to reach their full potential.

Early careers leads will gain practical tools and strategies to strengthen outreach, recruitment, and onboarding, helping them drive meaningful change across their organisations.

Objectives:

  • Identify practical strategies for designing early-career programmes that break down barriers to City careers
  • Collaborate with peers across sectors to share challenges, insights, and successful approaches to early-career development
  • Equip early careers leads with tools to drive meaningful change through effective outreach, recruitment, and onboarding practices
