Mental Health Awareness Week activities in The City and beyond

Below we round up all the activities from businesses taking part in The Lord Mayor's Appeal's Mental Health Awareness Week City of London Roadshow: 

Monday 15 May 

DLA Piper - Smoothie Morning: Free Smoothies to kick start the week

Royal Mail - turning HQ in Clerkenwell green and distributing 5000 ribbons to employees

Lambert Smith Hampton - hosting a keynote speaker event for all employees

Baker McKenzie - providing in-house counsellors for all employees to provide tips on managing mental health

Company of Constructors - running Mental Health First Aider courses for employees

AON - Mental Health First Aiders will host a CPD and sharing session on anxiety for all employees

TP ICAP - launch of mental health awareness toolkit for all employees

Tuesday 16 May

TP ICAP - hosting sound baths and free spinal health checks (body position can increase stress) for all employees

DAWN (Disability, ability, well-being network) - coffee and chat session on anxiety from 3.30-5pm for all employees

DLA Piper - Unmind Seminar - Face your fears: How to break the anxiety cycle

Wednesday 17 May 

DLA Piper - Yoga at Lunch by Virgin Active

Lambert Smith Hampton - hosting 'Wellness Wednesday' including MHFA'er-guided 30-minute walks for all employees

Eden Tree Investments - Hosting an 11am coffee session for all employees

Dragon Cafe - hosting a Mental Health Awareness Week event from 12-8.30pm (open to all)

The City of London Corporation - hosting a networking breakfast and panel discussion from 8-10am

Thursday 18 May 

City University - student wellbeing day including afternoon panel discussion & Q&A session with speakers from MQ Mental Health Research and National Numeracy

James' Place - open day from 10am-12pm

DLA Piper - Mindfulness with a Monk – in person session

Lambert Smith Hampton - hosting including MHFA'er-guided "tea and talk" sessions for all employees

TP ICAP - hosting a live webinar in partnership with Tender called 'supporting young people to build healthy relationships'

Friday 19 May 

DLA Piper - Webinar: A Monk’s Methodology - How to PAUSE; hosted by Jon Hayes

TPI CAP - interview with Nicholas Bunney, a TPI CAP colleague, about his journey into developing a mental health condition, recognising he needed help and writing a self help book to try and support others on 22nd May
