Magical evening had by all at the London Market Dinner

Tuesday evening saw the Guildhall filled with over 500 guests from 52 insurance businesses coming together for our biennial fundraiser - the London Market Dinner.

This year’s theme ‘The Magic of the Market’ celebrated the magic of the London market and guests were entertained by an array of wonderful magicians, musical entertainment and speeches from the Lord Mayor Alderman Nicholas Lyons and member of the organising committee, Lidia Bozhevolnaya.

Guests took part in the silent and live auction and a ‘Wine Wizard’ fundraiser where guests were asked to guess how many bottles of wine were drunk at a certain point in the evening.  Well done to joint winners Gallagher Re and Acrisure International.

A special thank you goes out to the organising committee who were instrumental in pulling the event together: Lidia Bozhevolnaya, Hugh Brennan, Tom Clementi, Ann Haugh, Matthew Jenkins, Ola Jacob Raji, Hannah Kate Smith, Tom Sutton, Vivek Syal, Emma Woolley, Irem Yerdelen.  With an extra special thank you to the Chair of the committee, Dominic Christian, for all his wonderful leadsership and hard work to make the event the success it was.

The phenomenal amount raised at this event will provide much needed funds for The Lord Mayor’s Appeal and 10% of funds will go to the charity chosen by the committee, Magic Breakfast.
