City Stories: Euromoney Institutional Investor PLC

Why are you supporting City Giving Day?

This is the second year that Euromoney Investor Plc. has supported CGD, helping to raise awareness of our employees’ charitable efforts across the company. This year we hope to build on this awareness and kick start our fundraising for the next financial year.

Which charities or communities do you support?

We have several corporate charity partnerships at Euromoney, including Haven House Children’s Hospice and Afghan Connection who we have supported for the past 3 years. We also have a variety of diversity groups which are led by our employees including a wellbeing forum, women’s network and LGBT&A group amongst others.

How will you celebrate City Giving Day?

We are in the midst of our planning for CGD 2019 which will see our diversity groups come together to celebrate our employees and their efforts throughout the year to support a range of charitable initiatives.

Which charity are you supporting, why are you supporting it?

Following an employee vote, we have supported Haven House Children’s Hospice for the last 3 years raising over £100,000 to support their vital work with children facing lifelimiting illnesses. This includes corporate donations, bake sales, gardening days, quizzes and raffles.

"Only 19% of our running costs are met by the government so having the backing of Euromoney is vital. Our partnership has meant we can reach more seriously ill children and their families through new and expanded services."

Natalie Chevin, Haven House Children’s Hospice
