City Stories: White & Case

Why are you supporting City Giving Day?

White & Case LLP has supported CGD since its launch. It is a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the City of London’s diverse range of charitable giving and volunteering activities. We will raise awareness amongst employees of our Global Citizenship programme and fundraise for our London office charity partner, Place2Be.

Which charities or communities do you support?

Global Citizenship at White & Case includes pro bono, volunteering, charitable giving, legal education and our green initiative. In 2018, our lawyers delivered 120,000 hours of pro bono worldwide, with a focus on promoting access to justice, the rule of law and supporting NGOs with an environmental or social mission.

How will you celebrate City Giving Day?

We plan to showcase the vital work of Place2Be, our London Charity Partner, which is a children’s mental health charity that provides school-based specialist mental health support to children and young people across the UK. We will host fundraising and awareness building activities through the day.

Which charity are you supporting, why are you supporting it?

We are supporting our London charity partner Place2Be, which happens to be one of The Lord Mayor’s Appeal three charity partners!

“White & Case’s fundraising efforts will support our work in 20 London schools meaning up to 9,000 children will have access to vital mental health support services.”

Emma Ullman, Corporate Partnerships Officer, Place2Be
