City Stories: BACB Bank

Why are you supporting City Giving Day?

City Giving Day is part of a year-round commitment we have to support local causes by volunteering and raising funds. In the next few months, employees will take part in BACB Together Days to help schools, charities and wildlife centres progress a range of projects that they need help with.

Which charities or communities do you support?

We’ll provide practical youth support through the Shadwell Community Project and in local schools. We’ll also play a part in the Lord Mayor’s Appeal charity ‘Place2Be’ and young mothers at Look Ahead in Limehouse. Some employees will also work at the Essex Wildlife Trust for the day.

How will you celebrate City Giving Day?

We’ll hold a Harvest Festival for those in need and present our impact study to the charities we have supported to join us at our offices in London, along with the Lord Mayor and his team. We’ll also take part in the City Giving Day Treasure Hunt and Quiz Night.

Which charity are you supporting, why are you supporting it?

We are supporting a number of charities through our partner Employee Volunteering, who help ensure that our contribution has a positive and meaningful impact.

"Employee Volunteering CiC is delighted to be supporting BACB on their City Giving Day and heping their employees make a big difference to City communities."

Dewi Thomas, Chief Executive Officer, Employee Volunteering CiC
