Join the Lord Mayor of the City of London for a truly unique 5k fun run. Santa in the City will start at St Paul’s Cathedral and your route will see you cross the Millennium Bridge, run along the South Bank, take in many of London’s iconic landmarks before heading back into the City for the finish line at St Paul’s.

No previous experience is needed and the route is relatively flat. You can choose to either run, jog or walk and it’s open to all so please do bring your colleagues, family and friends along. This fantastic event is a great way to experience London during the festive season and to be part of something truly unique!

You will receive a free Santa suit (and beard!) and a commemorative medal when you cross the finish line. Plus there will be live festive music and carols sung by the brilliant Pop Choir to make your day a truly memorable one.

Open to all runners from the age of seven upwards, some elements of the course are not suitable for wheelchair users.

Entry fees

There are two different entry fees:

£11 – for a charity running place to raise funds for The Lord Mayor’s Appeal. The minimum sponsorship is just £50 per person. You can choose to run for the Appeal, or specifically for one of our three beneficiary charities for 2018-2020: Samaritans, OnSide Youth Zones or Place2Be.

£22 – for your own running place, if you would like to run just for fun, or would like to raise funds for another charity of your choice.

Children between 7-16 years old can take part free of charge but must be accompanied by an adult (no Santa suit but children are welcome to bring their own).

Please note that a small booking fee will be payable in addition to the entry fee.
