Thank you to everyone who attended our City Giving Day Thank You reception on Wednesday 24th October and to our generous hosts Bank of China.

Following inspiring speeches from Mme Shi Whe, Deputy General Manager Bank of China London Branch and The Rt Hon The Lord Mayor Alderman Charles Bowman, The Lord Mayor’s Appeal premiered the City Giving Day 2018 highlights video.

We also had the pleasure of announcing some awards on the evening to recognise the companies who really went the extra mile.


Top Male participant and Top Under 35 participant – John Holmes, Leyton UK Team 1

Cycling 7,868 meters in 8 minutes

Top Female participant – Sarah Jackson, Stephenson Harwood

Cycling 5,870 meters in 8 minutes

Top Over 35 participant – Chris Stanton, Third Space Team 2

Best Collaboration Award – Artesian Solutions, Pinsent Masons & Synechron

For working together to organise the very first City Giving Day Quiz Night

High Powered Energy Award – Clarksons Platou

For organising an in-house fitness challenge between all of their departments and across their international offices for six hours, while raising a huge amount of money for their chosen charities

Most Innovative Event Award – Bank of China

For bringing the Belt & Road to the heart of the City of London


Best Community Engagement Award – Worldpay

For hosting their Explore Enterprise course in partnership with the Prince’s Trust to help young people understand what it takes to start their own businesses

Most Visible Award -  Land Securities

For taking City Giving Day outside, helping to make it more visible and showing that it can be a lot of fun!

Go Red Award – First State Investments

For really entering into the spirit of #GoRed with the most colleagues wearing red on City Giving Day
