22 November Impact Reception tells the stories of the Appeal year
Lord Mayor visits annual ICAP Charity Day
The Lord Mayor Alderman Peter Estlin attended the 26th ICAP Charity Day at TP ICAP's offices in the City of London on Wednesday 6th December.
ICAP Charity Day is an annual fundraising campaign where for one day the company gives all their revenues and commissions to charity from a number of offices across the globe. Different celebrities and public figures will be attending on the day and raising money for the benefitting charities through telephone broking. By giving away all their revenues and commissions on just one day each year, they have positively changed the lives of thousands of people less fortunate.
Alderman Peter Estlin started his visit to TP ICAP’s offices by welcoming HRH The Duchess of Cornwall to the event and then escorted her on a tour of the trading floor which was buzzing with employees in the most imaginative fancy dress outfits. The Lord Mayor took part in a boxing challenge and closed a deal on the telephone lines. Celebrities attending the event included John Gallagher, Sir Trevor Brooking, Alastair Stewart, Keith Lemon, Annabel Croft, Sean Fitzpatrick and Fay Ripley.
Over the last 25 years ICAP Charity Day has raised over £139 million. The Lord Mayor's Appeal would like to express their sincere thanks to ICAP for choosing the Appeal once again as a beneficiary of ICAP Day 2018.
