22 April Celebrating The Duke of Edinburgh’s incredible legacy through the DofE
Reeling at Mansion House
On Friday 24 January, Lord Mayor Alderman William Russell and Lady Mayoress Hilary Russell hosted a spectacular Highland Ball at Mansion House which was a huge success.
The evening was attended by 300 dinner guests and 50 after-dinner guests. Welcomed by a Scots piper on arrival, guests enjoyed a Champagne reception supported by Pol Roger followed by a three course Scottish-themed dinner with miniature whiskies and fudge donated by Mary Queen of Scots Enterprises. Afterwards, guests reeled the night away to music from the Ian Robertson Band and reeled to popular dances including Dashing White Sargeant and Reel of the 51st Highland Division. A fun night was had by all!
The Lord Mayor's Appeal would like to thank everyone who has supported us on the event: in particular Pol Roger, Graham Hadley, all those who bought tables or tickets or donated prizes as well as the Organising Committee for all their hard work.
