The Lord Mayor Alderman Peter Estlin hosted the ICAP Charity Day cheque presentation at Mansion House on Wednesday 6th February 2019. The reception was attended by TP ICAP staff, charity representatives and their celebrity ambassadors and patrons, as a thank you to everyone for their efforts on ICAP Charity Day which took place at TP ICAP’s offices on 5th December 2018 and which the Lord Mayor attended too.

ICAP Charity Day is an annual fundraising campaign where for one day the company gives all their revenues and commissions to charity from a number of offices across the globe. Different celebrities and public figures attend the day to money for the benefitting charities through telephone broking. By giving away all their revenues and commissions on just one day each year, they have positively changed the lives of thousands of people less fortunate. Over the last 25 years ICAP Charity Day has raised over £139 million. In 2018 ICAP Charity Day raised £4.5million globally with The Lord Mayor’s Appeal being one of the lucky beneficiaries.

The cheque presentation on 6th February began with drinks and canapes in the Salon, followed by a welcome from the Lord Mayor, a video from ICAP Charity Day 2018 and cheque presentations by Nicolas Breteau, TP ICAP CEO, to the benefitting charities in the Egyptian Hall. A number of celebrities such as Alastair Stewart OBE and Fay Ripley attended the event and spoke on behalf of their charities.

The Lord Mayor’s Appeal would like to express our sincere thank yous to TP ICAP for their continued support of the Appeal.
